November 14, 2023 – Portugal – NUDGE: nudging for more efficient and healthier homes
Changing habits and routines is not easy, but it is urgent to combat energy waste and mitigate climate change. That’s why the NUDGE project was created, to study the behavior of European citizens regarding energy consumption in their homes and to test the implementation of nudging strategies (“nudges”).
The pilot study in Portugal involved 100 families living in the Porto region, who opened the door to INEGI to monitor energy consumption and indoor air quality in their homes, and the effectiveness of “nudges” received via an app to smartphones.
Join us, on November 14th, to learn about this project, the results of the Portuguese pilot study, and the main conclusions.
This event’s target audience is all entities and stakeholders involved or interested in topics related to energy efficiency and air quality in housing, such as companies in the electrical sector, municipal entities, associations and interest groups, and public authorities, as well as families that participated in the pilot study. We will also have as a guest speaker Mariana Almeida, jurist from DECO’s Consumer Support Office, with an intervention entitled «Energy transition vs energy poverty: what is the consumer’s place?».
This initiative is promoted by INEGI within the scope of the European project NUDGE – NUDging consumers towards enerGy Efficiency through behavioral science.
